Books on Aging Parents: Exploring Amazon. In the past, this might have involved a trip to the bookstore and asking for some advice. Or even the friendly librarian. These days, Amazon is the first stop. Sure enough, the term "aging parents" leads to books in the Kindle store alone.   Helping is much more difficult after a crisis, so start talking while your parents are still healthy and active. Below is a checklist, excerpted from my book Author: Joe Hearn.

To pay for your parents' care, you'll need to tap their retirement funds and other assets, your own savings, and/or possibly use long-term care insurance or similar products.   Synopsis: “Based on a page National Magazine Award-nominated special feature, “Caring for Your Parents” documents the innovative ways that real people cope with this age-old issue.       Wash your hands before touching your book. The slightest bit of dirt or oil on your hands can discolor or damage the pages and binding. Work up a good lather with the soap. Focus on your fingertips and the palms of your hands. Rub your hands together long enough to sing the “Happy Birthday” song. Support the spine when removing a book from 85%(41). Every new parent wants to do as much as possible right when it comes to their precious newborn. From burping your baby to dressing him to cutting those tiny nails, it can all seem pretty challenging sometimes. Luckily, with a little practice, you'll be a pro in no time (and can move on to other stuff, like treating diaper rash!).
